JCI places emphasis on the development of a range of partnerships, alliances and other cooperative mechanisms so as to foster visibility and impact of its programs activities at local, national and international level. Hence JCI collaborates with organizations representative of civil society, intergovernmental organizations and business corporations.
JCI distinguishes two categories of relations:
1) Formal Relations are based on either:
a) Mutual cooperation agreement or declaration;
b) Programs that fit into all of the Areas of Opportunity and enable JCI to meet the requirements of Chapter II of this Constitution; or
c) Programs that are of current interest to a worldwide or regional cross-section of members (not already represented by an Organization with which JCI has formal relations).
2) Contact Relations are based on the mutual wish to maintain periodic contact.
Q&A:
1) How can JCI Local/National Organizations work with our external relations partners?
JCI Local/National Organizations can work with the partners based on agreements that are posted below.
In addition, it is important to mention that there are partners that have Committees/Commissions, which are working groups formed by NGOs that work on specific topics..
If the Local/National Organizations have projects related to those Committees/Commissions, they may join them in order to network, exchange knowledge/resources, study, plan, support, and act in order that your project can further its goals.
2) How can JCI Local/National Organizations approach the partners or join the Committees?
Since JCI WHQ coordinates all working relations with its partners in order to maintain and develop a continuous and uniform plan, please contact your respective Area Director/Manager (Africa&Middle East, Materne Bossou mbossou@jci.cc , Asia&Pacific, Arrey Obenson aobenson@jci.cc , Americas, Eduardo Barros ebarros@jci.cc , Europe, Michèle Hermans mhermans@jci.cc ) who will advise your JCI Local/National Organization on how to approach or join the partners.
