General Eligibility Requirements:
● Each state selects its representatives through statewide competitions. The state's first place competitor/team or alternate is eligible to represent the state on the National level.
● Only one (1) representative from each state per competition is eligible to compete. (Or in the case of Jaycee Debate maximum of three individuals per state are eligible.) One competitor may, however, represent his/her state in multiple competitions provided the competitor meets the specific eligibility requirements of each competition.
● Competitors, except for Write-Up, must be fully registered to attend the Annual Meeting prior to the time of competition. One-day registration is not permitted.
● Competitors must be a member in good standing of a recognized Jaycee chapter prior to the day of competitor registration at the Annual Meeting.
Fees: An entry fee of $50 per competition must be submitted (except for You're Hired - Free for 2018 only). Fees can be paid online through the Membership Database by midnight on July 15, 2018. Entries received after the published deadline, may be subject to a $50 late fee.
Certification: The current serving State President will be the certifying official for all competitor entries.

This is your platform to focus on getting your opinion across professionally and respectfully. Individuals will debate a current event or JCI topic head to head. The judges decide who's argument worked best. The top three (3) participants will have the opportunity to represent JCI USA at the JCI Conference of the Americas in 2019.
HOWES SPEAK UP
You are a Jaycee. You have a voice. We want to hear it! Develop your public speaking skills with this competition. Give yourself an opportunity to hone in a skill we all so desperately need in the professional world. Stop being shy at meetings, when we all know, you are an active young citizen and have something great to say!
MASTER SPEAK UP
This speak up is for previous Howes winners, National Program Managers and past members of the JCI USA Board of Directors are only eligible to compete in Master Speak-up. You are a Jaycee. You have a voice. We want to hear it! Develop your public speaking skills with this competition. Give yourself an opportunity to develop and utilize a skill we all so desperately need in the professional world. Stop being shy at meetings, when we all know, you are an active young citizen and have something great to say!
This competition will be held remotely online. You are a Jaycee. You have a voice, but don't necessarily have to vocalize it, so let's write it! As professionals, we write emails and post information many times in a day. Use this opportunity to utilize your writing skills and improve how you share your voice in writing.
The Online Professional Networking Resume/Interview competitions are held to provide a practical skill and highlight the most outstanding members of JCI USA for the 2018 awards year. This competition requires participants to provide a LinkedIn Profile to highlight professional, personal and Jaycee accomplishments. It will also encompass an elevator speech and complete a panel interview as if applying for the job of a "Executive Director”.
