JCI Nilom elects new board

The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Nilom has elected a new board for the year 2020. This happened during the Election Meeting on Thursday 19th, September in KKF. Through speeches of the candidates it was clear to see which direction the board wants to go in the coming year.

The candidates had to state in their speeches why they had chosen a board position. After all the speeches it was clear to see which direction the elected board wants to take in the coming year. The theme for 2020 is EPiC, which stands for Empower, Progress, Celebration. With this theme the elected board wants to ensure more recognition of the commitment of the members, continuity, quality, structure and improvement internally and externally of the organization.

The elected board consists of: Virgil Martels (Local Treasurer), Urvin Keerdijk (Local Secretary), Joseph Deonaraine (Vice President External), Dion Bruce (Vice President Internal), Andy Tjoe A Long (Executive Vice President) and Ruiz Kartoredjo (Local President).

The current board led by Local President Mario Vermeer, has ensured continuity of the organization. The elected Local President, Ruiz Kartoredjo, ended his speech as follow: "The Art is not what you do. But what you leave behind," - states Kartoredjo.
