"You never know whe a moment and a few sincere action can have an impact on a life"
In our quest to kick start the 2020 Be Extraordinary Year, JCI Rockcity executed her first project of on the 1st of Janury 2020 btagged "Baby of Impact Project". The project which is aimed at honouring the first baby of the year started when members and guest converge at a spot in Panseke, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria at exactly 8am and then moved in convoy to Ijaiye State Hospital with lots of gift items but couldn't find a new baby there at the point of arrival, the members then moved to the second option which was Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Idi Aba, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria where we found two babies that were given birth to at almost the same time.
The two lucky babies who were given birth into the Agbolade and Akingbohun family, one with normal delivery while the second with caesarian session (CS). Both came into the life through different means but almost same time. (Male 8:38am with CS while the Female 8:45 am with normal delivery respectively).
Based on the analysis above, both babies and their family were honored. The chapter was able to donate baby stuff like (Diaper, Baby Toys, Cloth Hanger, Baby Walker, Baby Cloths/Shoes, and many more), mother's need like (Sanitary Pads, Beverages, Disinfectants, Detergent & many more), also cash gift were given to the two babies and the hospital staff. The donations were gathered from members, individual and corporate sponsors.
Both parents and matrons of the hospital appreciated the organization for the wonderful initiative and pledge to preach the gospel of the organization to the younger ones. After the presentation, The Local organization recorginsed all the officers present and the National Vice President extended the goodwill message on behalf of our distinguished National President.
