On Thursday, September 03, 2021 in the Lalla Rookh building, the various speeches of the candidates who have stood for election for the various positions were heard. Junior Chamber International (JCI) Nilom and the elected board for the year 2022 have ensured the further growth and continuity within the organization.

The theme for the coming board year is ARISE which stands for Active Refreshed Integer Serving Empowerers. With this theme, constructive and sustainable further direction will be given to the policy to be pursued within the organization. Strengthening the fraternity will be the focus of the upcoming board year. With the ARISE ideology that will be developed, this will bring sustainable benefits to the organization internally (growth and leadership development opportunities) but also externally (sustainable partnerships and international recognition).

The elected board consists of: Chilton Sampono (Local Secretary), Elvis Biervliet (Local Treasurer), Nephille Stekkel (Vice President Internal), Delano Arnhem (Vice President External), Derril Dankoor (Vice President International Affairs), Randy Berghout (Executive Vice President) and Acheber Jamin (Local President).

Given that the organization has to face quite a lot of challenges, the current board led by Andy Tjoe has taken A Long (Local President) and step forward with this election meeting. Today, this is one of the fundamental values of any board – to ensure continuity within the organization.

The meeting is hybrid (physical and virtual) organized due to the COVID-19 measures that we have observed. This could also be followed online and several prominent role models within society have congratulated the newly elected board.

The idea at JCI "One Year To LEad" means that positions, both of the board and of the committees, are filled annually. In this way, as many members as possible are given the opportunity to implement the knowledge and tools they receive in practice. The new board year therefore officially starts on 1 January 2022 and ends on 31 December 2022.

Junior Chamber International (JCI) is an international organization of young active citizens in the age group of 18 to 40 years that has as its main goal the creation of sustainable positive change and stimulate development opportunities of young people in the world
