\"Wo + Men Toward Peace\" forum
JCI Jordan commemorated International World Peace Day with the launch of the \"Wo + Men Toward Peace\" forum
As part of the Peace ls Possible Campaign, JCI Jordan commemorated International World Peace Day with the launch of the \"Wo + Men Toward Peace\" forum directed by our DP Saleh Al-Hanash. The forum highlights included an interactive panel discussion led by Senator Reem Abdel-Hadi addressing gender equality and peace-building with a focus on education, employment and the role of media in promoting for peaceful communities upon which recommendations towards a national action plan will be drawn; a video presentation interviewing a group of children on what peace means to them; a portion delivered by JCI PSUT President Joseph Shamoun on fighting gender stereotypes; a video presentation raising awareness on gender based violence directed by JCI PSUT Vice President Julie Matarweh; and a segment dedicated to collecting commitments towards peace from the forum participants led by our Peace Is Possible Director and VP Alaa Al Baqain. A special recognition also goes to the \"Wo + Men Toward Peace\" committee for their unwavering commitment and dedication towards this remarkable success; to our panelists Ghada Saba, Aroub Soubh and Bady Bagain for their valuable inputs and last but not least to our peacemakers, for their active participation.
