To increase awareness of JCI Antigua in the Community by advertising and inviting persons to various events. To host seven events to celebrate our 52nd year of existence. To encourage the participation and togetherness of members throughout the Week of Activities. To created added awareness about Cancer in our society.


JCI Antigua celebrated 52 years of existence during the period 20-26 May 2012 under the theme "Together we fight Cancer together we win". The week of Activities officially commenced with a Church Service at the Holy Family Cathedral dedicated to all persons who are currently affected by the disease as well as persons who have died from Cancer. Following the service JCI Members their families and friends were able to spend time at Stingray City playing with the stingrays. The following day saw to a media blitz where The President and JCI Members presented themselves on a television program Good Morning Antigua & Barbuda and various radio stations. Two schools were visited for an informative talk on the topic 'Cancer and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. The days that followed allowed for games night, a social evening and culminated with a Cancer benefit cocktail and Awards Ceremony. Many thanks to all who participated and assisted


Fundraising efforts for this project should start earlier The visits to schools should be continues on different topics outside the Week of Activities.


We were able to host seven events to celebrate JCI Antigua's 52year of existence. 50% of our membership participated in all the activities throughout the week. The project allowed for added awareness about Cancer in our society through media appearances and a host of other events gared towards cancer.
