Purpose

In the present days its been commonly observed that people, especially women suffer from Thyroid related issues. The project aimed to conduct a free camp where we engage in Thyroid function test to the whole participants of the camp at free of cost. This was to create an awareness among the people about the diseases and complications that can happen due to Thyroid. The project was conducted with the help of DDRC and the Local Ward Member, officials and Government School of Pramadom Grama Panchayath

Overview

The Project was successful. Many people were benefitted from the camp. Results of the test were also distributed at the door steps of the participants of the camp.

Results

The camp was successful. Many people were benefitted from the camp. The beneficiaries commented since the COVID outbreak they were not able to reach hospitals for such test and this campaign helped them a lot. The Test results were also distributed at the door steps of the participants of the camp. This helped the local community and they expressed their gratitude to the JCI.

Recommendations

Such community health camps are to be organized to improve the good health and well being of the people.
