Purpose

The Meet To Read project was established with the objective of promoting the reading culture among young Vietnamese community to enhance competitiveness capacity in the context of global integration.
The Meet To Read project aims to realize the goal No. 4 (Quality Education) of the United Nations' 17 sustainable development goals.


Overview

The Meet To Read project was established with the objective of promoting the reading culture among young Vietnamese community to enhance competitiveness capacity in the context of global integration.
The Meet To Read project aims to realize the goal No. 4 (Quality Education) of the United Nations' 17 sustainable development goals.

Core programs:
1. Radio with Writer: A series of live radio connecting authors and readers.
2. Writing competition about book: Encourage readers to express their thoughts about book with a view of promoting book loving and reading culture.
3. Hanh Trinh Con Chu: Donate books for children in mountainous region as a mean of learning, experience as well as enhancing knowledge.
4. Telling my career story: Discuss about jobs related topics with experts from various fields as well as introduce the pillow books relating to the topic.


Results

The project impacted directly 1900 people as detail below:
1. The Radio with Writers program broadcasted 4 online radio with the participation of a total of 250 people.
2. The Writing competition program about book attracted over 50 people joining and finalizes top 10 best book writing.
3. Hanh Trinh Con Chu program, in companion with JCI Hanoi - Vietnam, donated over 6000 books which were received from over 100 people to 2 libraries at a primary and secondary school in Ha Giang which has a total of 1300 students. This program also caught much attention from the communities such as Ms. Huynh Pham Thuy Tien - the runner-up of Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 - who was the speaker of the kick-off event, 1 online article, Vietnam Television (VTV1) and the Voice of Ho Chi Minh City People (VOH).
4. The Telling my career story program broadcasted 4 episodes with the participation of a total of 200 people.
