Purpose

Sustainable Development Goal 6 of the United Nations stated that: “Ensure the availability and sustainable management of water resources and improved sanitation for all. By 2030, achieve equitable and universal access to safe and affordable drinking water for everyone”. Thereby, it can be seen that in addition to many cities in Vietnam today, The South has clean water sources for daily life and living, but there are still many remote and isolated areas. ethnic minority areas because of limited geographical and economic conditions, but not yet accessible, use clean water. This has harmed people's health living in these areas. The lack of clean water is an obstacle that not only affects health and health but also profoundly affects human resources, the economy, society, and education.
The project "The Well" is the desire to raise funds to carry out journeys to bring clean water to people in remote, remote and ethnic minority areas in the provinces of the region. Central Highlands such as Gia Lai, Kon Tum, and Lam Dong. That will be the driving force for the project to be replicated in many different regions and contribute to creating positive values in the lives of people here.
The support and support of the community and international partners is one of the prerequisites for the project to take firm steps towards successful results. Therefore, our projects always call for the active contributions and enthusiastic participation of the local, provincial, national, and global. Those strengths will help the project be realized, reaching the goal of the full life of people in remote areas. At “The Well”, we depend largely on the contributions and sponsorships of donors, contractors and construction companies, and community partners as well as calling on international partners and JCI Chapters.

Overview

Deployment time: 03/2022 - 03/2025
Location: Remote areas, areas of ethnic minorities in the provinces of Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Lam Dong.
Beneficiaries: People in remote, isolated and ethnic minority areas have not yet accessed or used clean water
Project size: It is estimated that about 8-10 well projects are carried out in the provinces of Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Lam Dong
