Overview

EVENT DESCRIPTION
Guiding for Rise is a hybrid training of JCI Myanmar along with the collaboration of
JCI VP Myung Sick Shin and APDC Team from online Zoom platform. This is going
to be on the first week of April.
The purpose of this training is not only to introduce our newly elected members of
JCI Myanmar to APDC Team but also trying to improve the LOMs and leadership
skills. This can be call to action to all the inactive members as well.
The first day of training mainly focus upon the encouraging and introducing the
members about JCI journey in order to take charge and rise for them and their
community. Afternoon session will use with LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology
combines visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles into one uniquely creative
and powerful approach. It teaches young leaders both introverts and extroverts to
think with their hands and better communicate their ideas, allowing a greater flow
of JCI journey. Since this year national theme is rebound to victory, we would like to
help the members to rise from their personal comfort zone and rebound to take
back their lives and lead the way.
After learning all the theories about leadership from the online training Day 1, we
would suggest to use and apply in practical with some onsite training on the
second day of the training program. Involving and participation as well as teamwork
and networking is likely to strengthen and develop after this leadership hybrid
training from APDC and National BOD of JCI Myanmar.
Second day of training mainly focus on the carrier mapping of the young people to
analysis their strength, weakness, threat and opportunities and guiding them to rise
for the future. After the morning training, we will have internship and volunteer
opportunities with National Partners.

We met with our objective of making our JCI Myanmar well-known of our vision, mission and the theme of 2023 to the active youth of community and contribute back to the better of our JCI and country by making Membership Orientation and Introduction about JCI Myanmar by 2018 National President Zay Yar Tun.

We made Map Your Future career development workshop on 08 April with the support of our training partner "PS Business School" and 2019 JCI Myanmar National President Seinn Witt Yee gave short motivational training for career guide during the workshop period. With that we met with the goal to initiate this year's goal of calling to actions to our JCI inactive members due to the pandemic and political situations.

Total number of 5 new members registered after the workshop and 10 members retentions from JCI Yangon. Total 3 numbers of participants from JCI Inya and have strong bonding and networking with JCI Yangon's member.

Recommendations

We got some project funding support from 2022-2023 APDC to hire for the venue and run the activities and met with our objective. Moreover, we got the in kind contribution from our National Partners such as Cloud 83 Art Lab, PS Business School, Sense Training House and 360 career. Without the each and everyone support, we cannot make it happen during the difficult situation of Myanmar under the economic crisis and political situation. Therefore, I do recommend to get the support and contribution for the development of young leaders and their future. If we all will combine our strengths together, we can reach to our victory.
