Purpose

To uplift local business owners during the post-pandemic era by offering them a platform to showcase their products. This project seeks to empower and revitalize the local economy by connecting consumers with a diverse range of locally-crafted goods, fostering community engagement, and ultimately contributing to the recovery and growth of small businesses.


Overview

Balik Local: Supporting Local Entrepreneurship is an initiative for JCI Rise. It was established during post pandemic stage to cater small business owners who were affected by the pandemic economically.

The Coconut Festival is an annual event in San Pablo City every January. The Festival is attended by a lot of people from the city and nearby towns. Business partners were given a place to set up, showcase and sell their products.


Results

A total of 3 business owners were able to showcase their businesses during the Coconut Festival, attended by hundreds of people.
