To reduce usage of plastic bags through raising awareness at an early age.

This workshop was organized by JCI Sandakan in conjunction to the International Plastic Bag-Free Day which falls on the 3rd July every year. The purpose was to raise awareness on the environmental impact and hazards of single-use plastic bags. It was also to spread the word that a plastic bag-free world is possible through a simple action.

During the workshop, the trainer explained about the impact of using plastic bag to the environment. Kids and parents were taught to make their own shopping bag using used t-shirts. They were also encouraged to share their skills to their families and friends after the workshop.

The workshop was participated by 25 participants. Participants was lesser than targeted number as most of the students are committed with school curriculum and other celebrations.
