Purpose

The main focus of the project is “the sexual and reproductive health”. This project focus on healthy practices, hygiene consciousness, adult education, removal of misconceptions and get awareness on superstitions and wellbeing Thus Spreading Life Spreading Happiness 2 is completely aligned with JCI Plan of Action.

Overview

Reproductive health is not just about sex. It is part of a holistic health program starting from early age teaching values and understanding the anatomy and physiology of their bodies. This education continues when they are young adults to have safe and acceptable access to methods of fertility regulation of their choice and the right to have access to appropriate healthcare services that enables women to go safely through pregnancy and childbirth as stated in the WHO definition. In countries where pregnancy among teens counts for more than 25 percent of all pregnancies and where STDs incidence is growing among adolescents 14-25 years old.

Reproductive health is a universal concern, but is of special importance for women particularly during the reproductive years. Although most reproductive health problems arise during the reproductive years, in old age general health continues to reflect earlier reproductive life events. Men too have reproductive health concerns and needs though their general health is affected by reproductive health to a lesser extent than is the case for women.

However, men have particular roles and responsibilities in terms of women's reproductive health because of their decision-making powers in reproductive health matters. At each stage of life individual needs differ. However, there is a cumulative effect across the life course þ events at each phase having important implications for future well-being. Failure to deal with reproductive health problems at any stage in life sets the scene for later health and developmental problems.
Because reproductive health is such an important component of general health it is a prerequisite for social, economic and human development. The highest attainable level of health is not only a
fundamental human right for all, it is also a social and economic imperative because human energy and creativity are the driving forces of development. Such energy and creativity cannot be
generated by sick, tired people, and consequently a healthy and active population becomes a prerequisite of social and economic development.

Target Group: Adolescents girls of 8 to 18 years student of Happy home. Our targeted population is 100 children. Initially we'll approach at Happy Homes- a home run by Action Aid Bangladesh.

There will be 2 types of awareness campaigns among the school children and the target population.
Spreading life, spreading happiness has the ability to eradicate sufferings of the people who does not have access to basic knowledge on sexual and reproductive health. The nature of this project is – PILOT PROJECT. After its success, we have plans to cover more areas in near future.

Reproductive health is a crucial part of general health and a central feature of human development. It is a reflection of health during childhood, and crucial during adolescence and adulthood, sets the stage for health beyond the reproductive years for both women and men, and affects the health of the next generation. The health of the newborn is largely a function of the mother's health and nutrition status and of her access to health care. We want to make them aware of the facts, we want to create a change, we want to JUST ACT. LET US SPREAD LIFE, LET US SPREAD HAPPINESS.

Actions Taken

1
In our third session, we would like to arrange a health camp like previous year focusing on the reproductive health of women.
2
At first we have to get an idea on their knowledge on the subject. For this reason we will first go through a questionnaire. We will produce hand outs on the lectures. Then our doctors will talk on the subject and there will be QA session. After 2 or three sessions, we will distribute another questionnaire and measure the positive changes in their knowledge on sexual and reproductive health.
3
Preparing Budget & Manage sponsorship

Results

after finish project we have done a questionnaire survey that shows a distinct difference on the awareness level about this alarming issue which will be easily quantified by the mass. This is the quantitative part of the project report. we worked with 100 adolescents girls from "Happy Homes" - a Home run by Action Aid Bangladesh. within 100 girls more then 90% fully aware about understanding the anatomy and physiology of their bodies, STDs, pregnancy .
