Childrens Vitamin-A and Deworming

The primary aim is to supply to elementary grade school students in selected schools nationwide with Vitamin- A which aims in de-worming them and to help address malnutrition and for the improvement of their health conditions.
Based on observations and reports from Department of Health and Department of Education many of elementary students are suffering from malnutrition and Vitamin-A deficiency. This project was then implemented with the aim to help alleviate Vitamin-A deficiency to grade school children also in de worming them to help address their malnutrition. According to reports globally, it is estimated that 140-250 million children under 5 years of age are affected by Vitamin-A deficiency. With such condition children suffer dramatically increased risk of death, blindness and illness, especially from measles and diarrhea. JCI Philippines members aware of the situation set as one of its goals to help school children around the country.
It is advisable that all JCI NOMs to adopt this project in support for the sake of our grade school children in their respective communities knowing it has high impact benefit to children a round the world.
The implementation of this project nationwide on the elementary schools we were able to supply 40,000 elementary students have benefited with Vitamin A supply at the same undertake of de worming them most especially thereby improving their health conditions.
