Purpose

Annually, the 2018 JCI South Africa Recharge Youth Summit unites young active citizens, partners and stakeholders from the region and elsewhere around the Africa to participate in inspirational sessions, impactful workshops, official General Assembly meetings, JCI Programs, forums, trainings and funfilled events to share best practices, exchange ideas and determine the future of our dynamic
One of the objectives of the Summit is to stimulate mentorship whereby successful youth leaders can mentor and coach the emerging leaders who has limited leadership skills, this includes youth in business and other professional personnel. The Summit will also culminate with a clear mandate and focus on advance mechanisms, actualization of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).


Overview

The Summit will focus on the following sectors namely; Education and Development Training, Agriculture and Forestry, Mining, Property Management, Transportation, Technology and ICT, Manufacturing, Entrepreneurship, The Role of Financial Services Institutions, Tourism and Energy.

There is a need for pioneering programmes that will be coordinated at grass root level through collaboration with different stakeholders in communities to share comprehensive resources, knowledge, skills and bring about impact to empower young people to create positive change in their communities. It is within the context of this summit to address these matters and bring about impact to the young leaders for them to transfer this knowledge to their respective communities.


Results

Junior Chamber International (JCI) South Africa Recharge Youth Summit aims at bringing together innovative and vibrant leaders from different walks of life to develop cutting-edge plans to impact the youth in their communities at grass root level and provide the youth with much needed knowledge to develop skills to become leaders and entrepreneurs and ultimately contribute to the economy of the country.

The Summit will focus on the following sectors namely; Education and Development Training, Agriculture and Forestry, Mining, Property Management, Transportation, Technology and ICT, Manufacturing, Entrepreneurship, The Role of Financial Services Institutions, Tourism and Energy.


Recommendations

The Mid Year Recharge (MYR) project must be combined with Ten Young Outstanding Persons (TYOP) . This will assist in cutting costs i.e Travelling costs , costs of running projects .

Task team be assinged to sorce funding to run the projects and monitor the progress of projects .
