Purpose

(i)To educate the young husband and wife in Malaysia about the latest amendment and the impact of family law.
(ii)To improve the communication between family members, especially young husband and wife.
(iii)To reduce the numbers of divorce in Malaysia

Overview

The number of divorces improved by 3.2 per cent from 51,642 (2016) to 49,965 (2017). One of the main reasons are communications between husband and wife.

Furthermore, the recent amendment to the Law Reform (Marriage and Divorce) Act 2017 now makes it compulsory by law for divorced fathers to pay for their children’s everyday living costs up until they finish their studies in university.
