A New Year, A New Journey
President Keisuke kicked off 2025 with an exciting global tour, inspiring JCI members and strengthening leadership ties. His journey began in Hong Kong and Macau, where he celebrated the inaugurations of JCI Hong Kong President Rafael Wong and JCI Macau President Kevin Ng.
Strategizing for 2025 in St. Louis
From January 6th to 9th, he attended the January Board Meeting in St. Louis, USA, focusing on strategic planning, leadership training, and key initiatives. Despite a snowstorm canceling the founder’s grave visit, EXCOM and BOD meetings addressed work plans and regional strategies, while sessions on teamwork, finance, social media, and time management enhanced leadership skills.
Strengthening Ties in New York
On January 11th, he made a brief stop in New York, connecting with JCI Philippine-New York and other local chapters. That evening, due to overlapping events, he had the chance to meet many Filipino-American senators and members, deepening exchanges and gaining insight into their ongoing activities and impact.
First Official Visit: Brazil
From January 13th to 18th, President Keisuke made his first official visit of 2025 to Brazil, traveling to São Paulo, Chapecó, and Florianópolis. In each city, he met numerous members, senators, and key stakeholders, including city officials and business leaders.
In São Paulo, he engaged with JCI Brazil Japan, a group with strong influence among the Japanese-Brazilian community, and visited the Japanese Consulate, discussing opportunities for collaboration.
In Chapecó, over 150 JCI members welcomed him with an authentic churrasco barbecue, cooked inside the JCI Chapecó office, making for a unique and memorable experience.
In Florianópolis, despite a historic downpour, he had meaningful discussions with JCI members and embraced Brazil’s football culture, stepping onto the field to kick off a match, thrilling the crowd.
Expanding Global Impact in Africa and the Indian Ocean
On January 19th, he made a stopover in South Africa, meeting local members before heading to Mauritius from January 20th to 23rd for the Africa and the Middle East National Presidents Meeting (NPM).
In Mauritius, he met JCI Mauritius President Dharambeer Gokhool and past National President Yudhish Rama, led the JCI President Session on Global Goals 2025, and joined a Radio One interview with Finlay Salesse, alongside 1994 JCI President Arnaud Godere.
Beyond leadership, he enjoyed Mauritius’ turquoise waters, taking a sunrise boat trip, feeding fish, and experiencing local crêpes and spicy traditional drinks, shared by local members.
Homecoming to Kyoto Convention
From January 24th to 26th, he returned to Japan for the Kyoto Convention, celebrating the inauguration of JCI Japan President Masahiro Toguchi, his JCI Tokyo peer and fellow leader.At the General Assembly, he delivered an inspiring speech, reinforcing JCI’s mission and energizing members for the year ahead.
A Month to Remember
Throughout January, President Keisuke engaged with leaders across continents, proving that leadership knows no borders and passion for change unites us all.
