A Month of Impact Across Continents
February saw President Keisuke embark on another ambitious journey, engaging with leaders across the Americas and Europe, fostering partnerships, and deepening JCI’s global presence. From high-level discussions to cultural experiences, he strengthened JCI’s network while embracing the diversity that makes the organization thrive.
Building Bridges in the Americas: NPM for America in Suriname
His first stop in February was Suriname, where he attended the National Presidents Meeting for America, meeting JCI leaders in the America area. He reinforced JCI’s commitment to empowering young entrepreneurs and expanding global opportunities.
Beyond official meetings, Keisuke was honored to visit His Excellency Chandrikapersad Santokhi, President of the Republic of Suriname, at the Presidential Palace—a special moment as it coincided with the President’s birthday celebration. He also enjoyed the evening at a vibrant Surinamese Night, where cultural exchange and discussions with senators and members enriched the experience.
Strengthening European Leadership: NPM for Europe in Luxembourg
Next, President Keisuke traveled to Luxembourg for the National Presidents Meeting for Europe, where he laid out JCI’s Vision 2040 and engaged in strategic planning alongside ISG Elvin Teo.
Yet, even in a formal setting, he found joy in the unexpected—spending a moment absorbed in an assortment of toys at the venue, a lighthearted reminder that leadership is about staying curious and embracing fun. The evenings were just as lively, with European Night providing an opportunity to explore the continent’s flavors—one booth (and one drink) at a time! The night ended in celebration, with JCI members singing and dancing together, marking another successful gathering.

At the Ban Ki-moon Center, he engaged in discussions on global leadership and sustainability, reinforcing JCI’s role in international collaboration. He also connected with local leaders and explored Austria’s renowned sparkling wine culture, appreciating the craftsmanship behind its production.
In Slovakia, he met with key figures, including the Slovak Chamber of Commerce, advisors to the President of Slovakia, and officials from the Ministry of Economy and Education. Visiting JCI Ungheni projects, he witnessed grassroots initiatives driving community growth.
Cultural experiences complemented his engagements—exploring Orheiul Vechi and visiting Milestii Mici, home to the world’s largest underground wine cellar. Across Austria, Slovakia, and Moldova, his journey reinforced JCI’s vision of global leadership, innovation, and sustainable progress.
Swiss Indulgence: Chocolate, Wine, and the Alps
In Switzerland, President Keisuke connected with JCI Switzerland members, strengthening ties through discussions in Geneva. Alongside these engagements, he experienced Switzerland’s rich traditions and culture, touring a chocolate factory, tasting a rare 1986 vintage white wine, and sharing a meal in the Alps. A visit to Bern rounded out his stay, blending leadership exchange with an appreciation for Swiss heritage.
Strengthening Regional Ties in Belgium
In Belgium, President Keisuke joined the 20th Annual Twinning Event, a cherished tradition uniting JCI members from Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the UK. The event reinforced cross-border friendships and collaborative leadership, showcasing the power of JCI’s regional network.
Beyond strategy sessions and business speed meetings, he embraced Belgium’s football culture—attending a Genk match, meeting the club owner, and securing a team jersey. Of course, no visit was complete without indulging in mussels, Belgian beer, and a nighttime stroll through Grand Place with JCI members, rounding off another impactful stop on his journey.
Advancing Leadership Collaboration in Ireland
In Dublin, President Keisuke visited Google’s European and Middle Eastern HQ, gaining insights into its innovation-driven work culture. He also attended a JCI Dublin event aimed at increasing CYE participation, where he inspired potential new members to take on the challenge. Additionally, he had the opportunity to visit Leinster House (Irish Parliament), where he met JCI members and senior leaders serving as parliamentarians, discussing leadership in public service.
