Visits to national monuments and artisan villages offered glimpses into the country’s proud history and resilience, anchoring the vision of a JCI that uplifts through localized empowerment.
Heritage and Hope—Expanding Ties in Benin
Though it began as a cultural stopover in Ouidah, the Benin leg of the journey blossomed into a multilayered engagement. From discussions with JCI Senators and local leaders in Cotonou to receiving a heartfelt member’s gift, the sincerity of JCI Benin’s welcome left a deep mark.
Cultural visits to Ganvié’s floating village, Porto-Novo, and the iconic Door of No Return became moments of reflection on shared human stories—painful and proud.
At the Cotonou Espoir Protocol Auditor Certification, President Keisuke bore witness to the power of local capacity-building and the enduring relevance of structured youth development.
Bridge of Cultures—Hospitality and Heritage in Türkiye
In Istanbul, although the visit was unofficial, the warmth was official and overwhelming. Guided by JCI Turkey’s leadership, President Keisuke immersed himself in the duality of the city—where East and West coalesce in commerce, conversation, and cuisine.
Beyond site visits and lamb kebabs, this was an opportunity to observe how JCI Turkey nurtures entrepreneurial leaders amidst a rapidly changing geopolitical landscape.
It was not an official visit—but in many ways, it was a meaningful one.
Mediterranean Vision—Youth Empowerment in Catalunya
Arriving in Catalunya, Spain, President Keisuke found himself in the heart of Europe’s youth leadership movement. From high-level discussions with PIMEC Joves and the President of the Parliament of Catalonia to community-building dinners in Reus, the visit underscored the intersection of policy, enterprise, and JCI purpose.
At the JCI Mediterranean Leadership Academy, he not only delivered the opening message but also co-hosted a special JCI Live Roundtable with former World President Salvi Batlle—bridging wisdom across generations.
Through mentoring final presentations and sharing personal reflections, he encouraged participants to consider diverse perspectives on leadership and its many forms of growth.
Diplomacy and Innovation—Concluding the Month in Monaco
In Monaco, diplomacy met innovation. From a private audience with H.S.H. Prince Albert II to sessions with the Minister of Finance, Monaco Economic Board, and innovation hubs like Monaco Boost, the visit showcased how tradition and technology can coexist in service of future generations.
Lunch with JCI Senate Monaco and a spirited Monthly Assembly gathering reinforced the strength of the JCI network in even the smallest of sovereign states.
From the halls of power to the marble halls of the Casino de Monte Carlo, the visit closed on a high note—poised between legacy and tomorrow.
Across Continents, Toward Tomorrow
From mountain peaks to parliamentary halls, President Keisuke’s April was a masterclass in modern leadership—one rooted in human connection, cultural fluency, and organizational conviction.
Every handshake, every shared meal, every spontaneous laugh was a reminder: the JCI movement lives not in structures, but in people. And through them, the world can be transformed.
