Cultivating the Next Generation of Diplomatic Talent

Established in 2017, the program becomes an official JCI initiative in 2026.

Global Youth Ambassador Project
What is the Global Youth Ambassador Project?
The Global Youth Ambassador Project provides young people with educational experiences in diverse cultures, values, and international cooperation. Through a structured training pathway, participants develop the knowledge and skills to engage with global challenges and contribute to peace in their communities.
The Global Youth Summit in New York serves as the culminating in-person experience where youth ambassadors from around the world come together to share what they have learned, participate in collaborative discussions, and present their perspectives on international peace.
Who are Youth Ambassadors?
Youth Ambassadors are students in 12th grade or younger (ages 14-17) who are nominated by their JCI National Organization (NOM). Each country may nominate two youth ambassadors who demonstrate a commitment to understanding the world’s cultures and values and a willingness to contribute to solving challenges in the international community.
Youth Ambassadors must be able to participate in both the online training program and the Global Youth Summit in New York. All program activities are conducted in English. Native-level proficiency is not required, but ambassadors should be able to express their views and participate in discussions in English.
